Clas Ohlson has committed to Science Based Targets initiative

We have committed to Science Based Targets initiative. This is an organization that defines and promotes best practices on how businesses can reduce their emissions, and independently evaluates and approves targets.

"The targets we have set of halving emissions throughout the value chain by 2030 and climate neutrality by 2045 are in line with the Science Based Targets initiative. As a further step we have now joined the initiative. In the next phase we will have our goals evaluated and formally commit to them, says Tina Englyst, HR and Sustainability Director.

"Committing to goals validated by the Science Based Targets initiative is important, it will show that we take our goals seriously, and that the goals and the sustainability strategy we have decided on are ambitious enough,” says Tina.

2030: 50 per cent reduced emissions across the value chain, corresponding to 20 per cent in absolute terms

2045: Climate neutral throughout the value chain

2045: Circularity throughout the value chain
